Matteo Angri, Ph.D. is an associated consultant to ENV and has extensive experience in the fields of tropical agronomy, food security, and value chain development. Matteo holds a master’s degree in Tropical Agronomy for Rural Development and a European Ph.D. in Microbiology. He has worked as a researcher and consultant in the agronomy and food industries. Matteo has gained extensive experience in the development cooperation sector managing projects and production units in Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. He is regarded for his contributions in strengthening agricultural producer associations and food value chains in all such regions.
In 2013, he co-founded the non-profit organization Environomica Onlus to respond to global environmental issues, which he currently chairs. Starting in 2017, Matteo has also been lending his services to ENV’s clients as an expert in managing, evaluating, and improving agricultural processes.

Matteo’s contribution was the key to the success of many of our cocoa producer associations in Uganda and Peru, highly recommended and competent expert.
