Marta has worked as a development practitioner for the past 15 years. Her expertise encompasses projects, programs & grant management, M&E, and strategy development. Marta’s profound involvement in development coordination and project management, especially on health issues, community and institutional building, has strengthened her excellent analytical thinking and enhanced her problem-solving skills. She has worked for UNDP in Brazil, different NGOs especially in Italy, United Kingdom, Mozambique, and Brazil, and for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as G7 Political Officer Assistant for African Affairs. She has worked on multiple donor-funded development projects and programs in different regions and countries including Italy, United Kingdom, Brazil, and Mozambique. Marta is now directing the Italian Foundation Aurora active in Africa. She holds a master’s degree in Social Anthropology and Development Studies from the University of Sussex and an MPhil in Public Health, Management, Politics, and Planning form the ENSP in Rio de Janeiro.
Marta’s commitment for the environment has led her to fulfill a mandate as Vice-President of Environomica Onlus between 2017 and 2020. Since 2017, she also lends her services to ENV’s clients as associated consultant and international expert on public affairs, health and education issues.

During the entire period Marta Sachy has shown a deep sense of responsibility, clear reliability, and a strong capacity to work as a team. She has shown excellent leadership skills and attitude to afford emergencies with a solution-oriented mind-set. Extremely valuable professional.
