Marco De Milato is an associated consultant to Environomica Consulting and has extensive experience in the development cooperation sector. He has been working in India, West Africa, and East Africa as INGO project manager and country coordinator as well as a consultant for the past 15 years. Since 2010, he has been focusing on East Africa, in particular on Kenya and Somalia where he worked on over 20 human rights and rural development programs as regional coordinator for international NGOs and as an independent consultant serving more than 200 thousand people. Marco has provided consultancy services to several INGOs, UN and donor agencies particularly FAO – Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and AICS – Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
Marco holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Genoa, Italy. He has certificates on various humanitarian and development topics in the realms of International Cooperation, Project design, Monitoring & Evaluation, Lobby and Advocacy. Furthermore, Marco is a co-founder of COIKE, the network of Italian NGOs in Kenya.
